Peter accepts his scholarship from Executive Director Karl Herzog!
Before entering the Youth Entry Level Automotive Trades Program at Motive Action, Peter worked part time in a chip factory loading trailers as seasonal work. He had learned all he could in that setting and, when he heard about the opportunity at Motive Action, he applied for the course because, he said, “I wanted to learn more about working on cars and to improve on my hands-on learning about the trade.”
After completing the program, Peter got hired in a tire shop. “I learned a lot while I was at Motive Action about the basics.” he continued, “. . . It helped me understand every component of a car and how it works. Motive Action helped me to get my foot in the door at SAIT and I’m excited to get my ticket one day!”
We are happy to help Peter work towards his goal to become a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician by awarding him the Motive Action Scholarship. Good luck in the future, Peter!
